Omaha Event Group No Longer Operating at Omaha Palazzo
Omaha Event Group is no longer operating at Omaha Palazzo. We will book no future events at that location. We are now working to re-home currently booked events. This was an abrupt turn of events. Without going into too much detail, the bottom line was that we no longer felt confident events could be executed to our standards in that building. This was a decision we made to protect the integrity of our customers’ events. It was a difficult one to make because we knew this would be a major disruption to painstakingly thought-out plans.
The vast majority of events we ran at Omaha Palazzo were weddings. We realize that this is a nightmare scenario for a couple – to fall in love with a venue only to find out months prior to the most important day of your life, that your venue is no longer able to host your wedding. We’ve been involved in countless situations over the years where couples in this exact situation have come to us for help at the eleventh hour. Often in these cases, the couple has not only lost their dream venue, but also their deposit money with no hope of getting it back.
We want to make it clear that all of our couples will be placed in a venue that they are happy with. They will not lose their deposit money, nor will they be charged more for moving their event to a different venue. We are pleased to share that all customers have been called and many have already been placed in upgraded venues at no additional cost. We are able to provide these upgrades because we run a portfolio of venues in Omaha, including our flagship Omaha Design Center, The Garden Room, Empire Room and our newest addition, the historic Leo Ballroom (which is 100 years old this year!)
From the bottom of our hearts, we apologize for this disruption to all of our customers at Palazzo. But we are grateful that they have adapted to this sudden change so well and that they are able to look forward to the positives of the new venues. In the long-run, we believe this change will create better experiences for our customers and their guests. It is a privilege that we take seriously, to walk alongside our customers as they plan and celebrate the most sacred days of their lives.
